Car Hire Firm Wins Major Recruitment Awards

Enterprise Rent-A-Car today announced that its ongoing graduate recruitment campaign has received two of the highest honours available: it has won Best Graduate/School Leavers Campaign and Best Employer Website at the 2006 Recruitment Advertising (RAD) Awards.

As a company that employs mainly graduates and takes on hundreds of new management trainees every year, Enterprise's recruitment advertising is key to maintaining its momentum as the country's fastest-growing vehicle rental business. It already has over 300 branches in the UK and Ireland, more than any other car hire firm, and will continue expanding throughout 2006.

Brice Adamson, Managing Director for UK & Ireland at Enterprise, comments: "We promote almost entirely from within and are constantly opening new branches, so recruitment is vital to our business model.

"Graduates enter our management training programme with the intention of getting them to branch manager level in two years. We have found that a university education provides the right foundation from which to grow effective businesspeople - employees who understand customer needs and are willing to go that extra mile."

Enterprise's 'Come Alive' recruitment campaign is based around university visits, exhibitions and the www.enterprisealive.com website. Since the campaign debuted in 2005 the company has seen a double digit increase in graduate job applications.

Brice Adamson continues: "Our fleet, insurance and individual customers demand and deserve great service, and having the right people is the cornerstone of that requirement. It's great to see the RAD Awards highlighting the effort we put into our graduate recruitment."
